Different Uses for Cold Room Panels
MTCSS recently launched our stock cold room panels, MT Chill and MT Freeze, for all your cold room panel needs. But did you know that insulated panels aren’t just for cold room construction? Cold room panels can be used for a wide range of solutions and MTCSS are here to tell you more!
Walk-In Cold Rooms
Cold room panels can, most obviously, be used to build walk-in cold rooms. The thickness and insulation level of the cold room panel is dependent on the temperature of your cold room.
Walk-in freezer rooms maintain lower temperatures than walk-in fridges, so they require a higher level of insulation to ensure optimal conditions are continuously preserved to protect your products.
MTCSS’s stock cold room panels have options suitable for walk-in fridges maintaining positive temperatures (MT Chill 80mm panel) and walk-in freezer rooms (MT Freeze 100mm panel) for negative temperatures. Our stock panels are the perfect cold storage solution if you need cold room panels with a quick turnaround.
Ambient Temperature-Controlled Areas
Ambient temperature-controlled rooms tend to maintain positive temperatures of between +10 and +30 degrees. Cold room panels can be used to build ambient areas as well as walk-in cold rooms. Insulated panels help to ensure temperature-controlled rooms are protected from external conditions.
Food Safe Areas
Cold room panels are the perfect solution for the food and drink industry, whether it’s food and drink manufacturing or food and drink retail, due to their food safe properties.
MT Chill and MT Freeze cold room panels are constructed from PIR and are CFC & HCFC-free. They are designed to offer high technical performance, maximum thermal insulation and a condensation barrier.
Food safe panels are ideal for the cold room construction of food preparation areas, processing areas, storage areas and more.
Ambient Spaces such as Offices
Insulated panels don’t only have to be used in cold room construction. Cold room panels are versatile and ideal for use to design and build other ambient spaces. MTCSS have installed office spaces built from cold room panels (you can find out more about the project here!) and a dividing wall built from insulated panel (read the case study here!).
Whether you want to build a new office space and meeting room or a changing room and toilet area, cold room panels could be the answer!
We can also offer bespoke cold room panels in a variety of thicknesses, sizes and specifications for supply-only panels. If you’re looking for the design and construction of a cold room or ambient area, get in touch with our team!
