Cold Room Panels

Used to construct standard and modular cold rooms, cold storage panels are an integral component of temperature-controlled storage.

To order replacement panels with a short lead time, MTCSS is the answer!

Types of cold store panels

Cold room panels come in three varieties, making them suitable for walk-in fridges or chiller cold rooms, freezer cold rooms, and ambient areas.

Used to construct the walls and ceilings of cold room installations, our 80mm Chill panels are designed specifically for chiller cold rooms and ambient areas, while our 100mm Freeze panels maintain minus temperatures in walk-in freezer cold rooms.

Adding invaluable insulation as well as structural support, our panels are manufactured from a three-part system, with an inflexible core surrounded by structural insulation. The thickness of this insulation (either 80mm or 100mm, depending on the panel type) helps provide an airtight seal that keeps cooled air in and stops warmer external air from entering.

Benefits of cold room panels from MTCSS

  • Suitability for food-safe requirements

Our cold store panels are made of or coated with food-safe materials and are CFC and HCFC-free.

  • Positive or negative temperature maintenance

MTCSS’s cold room panel range is designed for temperature-controlled environments and to guarantee high technical performance, for a range of temperatures, including:

Type of cold room Maintained temperature range
Chiller+0 to +8°C
Freezer-1 to -40°C
Ambient+10 to +30°C
  • Moisture and corrosion resistance

With added resistance to humidity and condensation, cold room panels keep your stock in the perfect condition – at the perfect temperature – for as long as possible.

  • Simple modification

To make installation easier, our panels can be cut and modified with the minimum of fuss. This also means you can adapt our standard run lengths (2400mm, 3000mm, and 6000mm) as needed.

Which industries need cold storage panels?

Accurate and reliable temperature control is required by a range of industries, including:

Plus, many more!

Cold room energy efficiency with guaranteed regulatory compliance

Compared to running multiple commercial or under-counter fridges and freezers, a cold room with properly insulated panels is much more efficient, in terms of energy usage and chilling capacity alike.

With a thermal conductivity of 10°C 0.020-0.023 W/mk at 10ºC, as tested to UNI EN 12667 standards, making them a highly effective insulation solution.

Efficiency matters, but so does compliance. That’s why MTCSS cold store panels are designed to deliver both.

Manufactured from polyisocyanurate (PIR), Chill and Freeze panels achieve a B-s1, d0, fire reaction classification, backed by laboratory testing and an EC Declaration of Conformity. This provides businesses with confidence that their cold storage facilities are built using materials that support safety and key regulatory requirements.
