Who Are MTH?
As an Italian company, MTH have been providing tailored cold room door and refrigeration systems to the cold storage industry in over 70 countries worldwide for the last 82 years!
Beginning in Turin, Italy, MTH specialised in the production of wooden doors and windows. Since then, their product focuses have developed alongside the ever-changing world to allow them to support their customers.
Now known for their cold room doors, cold room door parts, refrigeration systems and cold rooms MTH produce an impressive set of statistics:
- 10,000+ sqm across 2 manufacturing plants
- 10,000+ doors produced every year, from over 25 different models
- 700+ cold room door parts available in their catalogue
- 36,000+ refrigeration systems produced every year
One of the main goals at MTH is to satisfy their customers needs. They believe that quality is a promise to be kept on several levels, including:

Now, lets look into how MTCSS and MTH developed their relationship.
How Did MTCSS And MTH Develop Their Relationship?
The owner of MTCSS, Martin Borg, was first introduced to MTH’s products in 1995. In 1995, Martin met the owner of MTH Italy that resulted in Martin becoming the account manager for building the relationship between MTH and Carter’s Retail Equipment.
When Martin left Carter’s Retail Equipment and formed his own business, MT Cold Storage Solutions as we know it today, he was asked by MTH if MTCSS would continue the relationship. And that’s exactly what happened – MTCSS were now the UK partner for MTH, thanks to Martin!
Since 2007, MTCSS have worked closely with MTH. We initially marketed their cold room doors and cold room door parts. However, over the last 16 years this has extended to promoting other areas of their expertise – including their cold rooms and refrigeration systems.
Within the last 2 years we have improved our relationship with MTH by having our spares expert, Adam Fellows, work closely with them and lean on them for support where required. This has also consisted of business meetings in both the UK and Italy to discuss developments and future plans between MTCSS and MTH.
As a smaller company, MTCSS feel privileged to be associated with one of the leading cold room door and refrigeration system manufacturers in Europe and would like to thank MTH for their continued support and assistance throughout the years.
We are looking to continue our professional relationship over the years to come, and we look forward to growing with MTH.
